On a mission to help organisations realise their full positive impact potential

On Thursday 24 September 2026, Nexus Impact Partners and Erasmus University Rotterdam brought together senior leaders from seven of the leading Dutch financial services organisations to tackle one question: how do you get the most out of your corporate volunteering programme for your employees, your organisation and society? The result was an inspiring afternoon of academic insight, candid peer exchange and practical examples from the field.

Looking back on the Corporate Volunteering Roundtable

What we discussed

  • Balancing the value triangle. Corporate volunteering creates value for employees, for the organisation and for society. Getting to a genuine win-win-win means making explicit choices about what you prioritise.

  • From hours to impact. The sector is moving from counting volunteering hours towards measuring outcomes and, ultimately, real-world impact. That raises hard questions about measurement and attribution, which need answering before anyone can credibly claim impact.

  • Enabling middle management. Senior leaders and junior staff are often keen to take part. Middle managers, juggling competing priorities, need support to make room for volunteering in their teams.

  • Partnerships built on people. Long-term partnerships and strong relationships drive lasting value. There is a clear opportunity to join forces on shared themes such as financial resilience, equal opportunities, education and climate.

Couldn't make it?

If your organisation runs or is building a corporate volunteering programme and you couldn't join us, we're happy to share the key takeaways or talk through what they could mean for your programme.

What's next?

The participants were keen to keep the conversation going. Would you like to join a next edition? Or would you like to see a follow-up in another form, such as a deep dive on impact measurement or a joint initiative on a shared theme? Let us know.
